BWT Lechner Racing’s season in numbers

BWT Lechner Racing once again underlined its status as a world-class team in international Porsche single-make racing in 2026. The team celebrated two impressive victories in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and produced a host of notable numbers throughout the season.

One of the absolute highlights was the victory on home soil in Austria. Robert de Haan took the win after an exciting duel with his BWT Lechner Racing teammate Marcus Amand.

Just a few weeks later, it was Amand’s turn to celebrate. The Porsche Junior Driver, contesting his debut Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season with BWT Lechner Racing, claimed victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend. For the 20-year-old newcomer, it was his first victory in just his fifth race.

Thanks to the strong results throughout the season, the BWT Lechner Racing drivers scored championship points on a consistent basis. De Haan contributed 107 points alone, securing the vice-championship in the drivers’ standings. In the teams’ classification, BWT Lechner Racing scored 181 points to finish third overall.

The team narrowly missed out on the vice-championship in the teams’ standings – and for a highly unusual reason. The season finale at the legendary Autodromo Nazionale di Monza was red-flagged before the scheduled race distance had been completed, meaning that only half points were awarded. After just one lap of racing, the shortest race of the season was declared official.

Eight races at seven circuits in seven different countries once again made the Supercup one of the most spectacular and exclusive platforms in global motorsport. Running alongside Formula 1, the series visited the Principality of Monaco, Barcelona and the Dutch North Sea coast at Zandvoort.

A total of 2,309,939 fans attended the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race weekends in 2026. Interest in Formula 1 and its support series continues to grow, as reflected by a new spectator record. The best-attended event on the Supercup calendar was the Italian Grand Prix, which attracted 403,666 spectators.

A major factor behind the championship’s popularity is the close and exciting racing on track, with Robert de Haan, Marcus Amand and Caleb Sumich all playing their part in 2026.

”Success like this is only possible when we work together. On behalf of BWT Lechner Racing I would like to thank all of our drivers, partners, team members and supporters,“ said team principal Robert Lechner. ”We can be proud of what we have achieved together this year. At the same time we are looking ahead to 2027 full of motivation. Thanks to everyone who played their part in this success.
